How to use Bean Base

Hello Aficionado!  This is a quick guide on how to use Bean Base.  As a reminder, please review our Disclaimers before using Bean Base.

Topic #1 - What is Bean Base

Bean Base is a consistently updated and ever improving coffee bean database.

The database allows you to sort, filter, and discover thousands of coffee bean offerings from a few of the best specialty Coffee Roasters from around the world.  Once filtered, you will have side by side comparisons of coffee beans with similar origins, varietals, processes, tasting notes, and much more.  One of the best ways to experience better coffee is to get the best beans possible.  We are here to make that process easier.

As an ever improving database, we always welcome new coffee roaster suggestions.

To make suggestions or report any errors, click here or join our Discord channel.

Topic #2 - Region Tabs

At the top of each database table, there are regions tabs you can click through.  Each region (“NA”, “EU”, etc) will show only coffee roasters in those regions.  There is also a separate “Transparent” tab which will show only Coffee Beans from roasters worldwide who list cost and purchase transparency information.  For more information about Coffee Transparency see the pledge at

Note: Bean Base is still in it’s infancy therefore we only have only covered roasters in the NA region.  We are planning to expand Bean Base to EU and Asia regions as soon as possible!
